This is my favourite walk. It makes my heart sing, I love these views - giving me a feeling of euphoria, peace and contentment. In 2020 I did it 6 times, including solo.

Days after completing this walk for the 6th time within a year (2020), I injured my leg pretty catastrophically. It was the eve of New Years Eve. During Covid. After being carried by stretcher from hills beyond reach of vehicles by the amazing folk at Mountain Rescue, I then spent 10 days in hospital, where no family visits were allowed. It was such a tremendously tough time.

Since then, I've put in huge efforts to rehabilitate and gain function. A further surgery, with hip bone graft plus more metal - finally I had the fix I needed, and back to the rehabilitation again.

It's taken years to get back what I've lost, to be able to walk such a walk - and finally I managed to get up there again on 20th October 2024. It felt utterly amazing, such an achievement and so good to be back there again.

Despite my daft pun - how I handled this event and my rehabilitation is something I don't take lightly and remain incredibly proud of; I got back up and throughout the pain and set-backs I gathered myself together and gave it my everything.
